Rebecca Sloan
The Fillmore Detroit
Nomination reason: The work and energy Rebecca Sloan brings to her job far exceeds her job title. She is nearly the youngest member of the office, yet she is the mother of the team, making sure everyone’s day is going smoothly, and if it isn’t she looks for ways to boost their spirits and make them smile. She has become involved in her venue’s community service program, including leading events from start to finish. When this person was diagnosed with breast cancer, she still put her coworkers and venue first, making sure everyone else was okay and putting processes in place to be sure her leave would be seamless. Her passion for life is an inspiration for us all. From her ability to care and ensure the highest level of guest services to patrons, to her genuine care to assist within the community and her humbling attitude for people not to worry about her. According to her boss, these are several of the great things that make her and ideal candidate for a ROSE Award.
